Because of the South Pars gas fields being struck, Iran has paused gas exports to Turkiye for the forseeable future. This is likely to raise gas prices drastically in Turkiye, who until now had been importing 14% of their natural gas from Iran.

United States President Donald Trump has confirmed that talks with Iranian leaders are underway, and he believes that they will lead to a resolution of hostilities. In the meantime, he has instructed the department of war to pause all strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure for five days. This could mark the beginning of a remission in war if the talks go well, although the results are still to be determined. If the peace falls through, we will see continued heavy offensive action against Iran, and a likely prolonged operation in the strait of Hormuz to open it up and secure it against future strikes by Iran.
