US to deploy roughly 200 troops to Israel to help support and monitor the Gaza ceasefire deal

Soldiers deployed to Israel will be under U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), attached to a Joint Task Force consisting of military personnel from both Egypt and Qatar.

US officials say CENTCOM is going to establish a "civil-military coordination center" in Israel that will help facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid.
