Railway sabotage disrupts train services in the Netherlands

Train services across the central and northern parts of the Netherlands were disrupted after long pipes were found deliberately attached to the tracks.

Infrastructure operator ProRail reported around 20 such incidents, explicitly classifying them as sabotage of the railway network. The objects forced trains to stop, kept several level crossings closed, and caused disruptions to road traffic on the day the country opened its new parliamentary year.
