IRGC Navy strikes and detains oil tanker in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's IRGC Navy reportedly struck, set fire to, and detained the Togo-flagged oil tanker TREND in the Strait of Hormuz, stating the vessel was attempting an "illegal passage."

Separately, the UKMTO reported a security incident about 16 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman. Authorities have not yet confirmed if both reports involve the same vessel.
